The Hales: 2012

So if it is not totally obvious... I have totally and completely neglected our little family blog. As I was perusing my iPhoto the other day I thought about how many moments and memories have happened since I last visited and thought, it's time to get blogging again. So here goes... We will do a few flashbacks here and there to play "catch-up".

SUMMER 2012

We have had probably the most amazing summer ever! We have been able to spend more time together as a family than any summer previously and I have to give all the credit to Colin and his brilliant idea of purchasing this...

We have always been a camping/adventure seeking family but since our move to Oregon our camping experiences have been a little on the wet side... no matter what time of year we try and go... we got SOAKED. So needless to say... we quit camping... Until NOW! We can pull this behind the truck and go anytime, anywhere, despite the weather forecast and have a fabulous time! Chloe and Kate have had more camping this summer than all summers previous combined. As a side note I have to admit.. I love trailer camping WAY more than tent camping any day of the week.... Ok.. call me soft, but seriously.. especially with the wee kiddos this by far is the best way to go explore the outdoors and be able to keep my sanity while trying to keep the kiddos somewhat clean in the process.

We have had more fun sitting around the fire making/burning our s'mores all those beautiful summer evenings... if we happened to get a sprinkle here and there we just promptly move the party inside and gather around the table for a quick game of Spoons or King's Corner or Nertz!

Although we kind of made the decision to buy this, rather than taking the kids on a one time vacation to Disneyland, I have to admit we made the best choice... this has been the summer of a lifetime and the party has just gotten started! Plus, I figure, I'm 31 and I still have yet to visit Disneyland... so I guess technically I don't even know what I am missing... Shhh! Don't tell me or my kids... I think we will continue to live in ignorant bliss for now.
